PT sessions with mother and daughter!

It’s great to work with this mother and daughter duo as they train together. I have been doing PT sessions for them throughout the summer and winter, and their progress has been amazing.

We keep it enjoyable, often with some friendly competition between them! I’m always impressed at how hard they work in the gym, and have both been quick to learn good form and technique, often encouraging each other during the sessions.

My client here also works many hours as a hairdresser – which over many years has resulted in a slight postural deviation of forward rounding of the shoulders. We have been doing a full body approach, with both cardio and resistance training / strength, but with a bias on pulling movement pattern exercises (like resistance band, dumbbell and barbell rows) to target the posterior deltoids and upper back/ shoulder muscles to help alleviate the forward rounding deviation over time.. we have seen some great improvements. The Rear Deltoids function alongside the Rhomboids, Scapula Retractors and Trapezius to pull the shoulders back and reduces the shoulders hunching forward.

I get great feedback after our sessions and it’s great fun to train these two strong women!
